I have 5 pounds to go to my goal weight - which is pretty awesome, as that means I am a badass, for one, and two, I am surprised because I was doing a BMI calculator and it said I could be 122 pounds and still not be underweight. Um, sorry, but if I was 122 I would have no chest, no butt, and my hair would be the heaviest part of my body. Insano.

It's nice to be healthy... summer and beach trips help, too.

I love a good article of clothing.



Um, I want this. Desperately. In any of the colors it is sold in. This piece may look familiar, as it was in the June 2010 issue of Instyle Magazine for the "Charlotte York" aka Kristin Davis shoot. The piece is done by Layla L'Obatti for Between the Sheets lingerie.

I love fun random lingerie additions to my wardrobe (most of you understand why this portion of my wardrobe is the largest). I am working on acruing fine silk pieces as they can be integrated into other parts of the wardrobe (under a suit jacket, for example, a silk chemise or cami is completely different). Depending on the cardigan or climate, sometimes you can even pull them off with jeans. It really depends on your personal taste. I have two that are vintage from my Mother's dresser (which she hadn't worn in decades if ever) and they are baby blue and pastel pink silk chemises with white lace. I've been using them as sleepwear, under cardigans with jeans, and under suit jackets for 5+ years, it just depends on the mood!





This set in red is very sensual, the light peach is fun, and I really don't consider the ivory to be bridal but that is how Between the Sheets is marketing it (see the top of this post). Whatever. I am a pale WASP so I tend to go for non-white sets. Just so I don't look like Casper but that is a personal preference... I am sure under candlelight it is flattering but for multiple purposes I'd likely go with the red or peach.



Isn't this gorgeous? I am in love. I think full-length chemise pieces are pretty amazing. A LOT of manhours go into silk pieces like this one. Many designers require seamstresses to wear gloves just to sew the lace on - which often has to be done by hand so it gets finished right. It is nice, just for something different. The heels are optional. Consider it added to my wishlist.

I had an amazing boarding school experience at Chatham Hall in Chatham, VA. I would not change any day or minute from it for the world. I was in an albeit, sheltered, environment, but I was challenged intellectually, had friendly competition from classmates for everything, and learned dozens more things than I would have if I had remained at my public high school in my home town.

The two videos are photo collages with our amazing alma mater song, which I have always loved. The last time I sang it I was bawling my eyes out, stunned that I was graduating and would never be a student again. I think I was sad more than happy on graduation day!!






Famous alumni include: Georgia O'Keefe, Ann Taylor (NPR broadcaster), Claudia Emerson (poet), Margaret Sullavan, Josephine Ford, and Jacqueline Mars.

138 students, approx, from when I was there. My graduating class had 34 classmates.

Massages. On a regular basis.

No idea. I am a fan of a lot of dead people. Which sounds morbid but it is true!! I'll just say Georgina Chapman!

7. Greatest fear?

My greatest fear is dying before accomplishing everything I want to do with my life. Yeardley's death, which has followed many other deaths of people I know and care about in the prime of their lives has affected me a great deal. We are here to do things on this Earth and our Plan may not match His Plan but since I don't know WHAT His Plan is, I try to do my best in doing what makes my life feel fulfilled!

8. Trait you deplore in yourself?



I deplore my inability to just lay low. I am an incredibly active person who is Type A/Alpha Female, plus OCD from my Mom, and ADD from my Dad, and WASP perfection mixed in there too, so I am ALWAYS doing something

9. Which talent would you most like to have?



I would like to be able to test well. I want to get my Masters in Environmental Management and my Juris Doctorate and that requires doing well on the GRE and the LSAT!


10. Greatest achievement?



Going back to Randolph-Macon College to finish my degree. It is hard as anything readjusting to perpetual work, but I LOVE every minute!!
